This treatment has been used in Europe for years,
and now this exciting procedure is helping men and women in
the United States experience remarkable improvements in their
skin texture, regardless of skin color. With our microdermabrasion
skin treatment program, you can see immediate improvements in
your skin's appearance. |
This unique approach removes dead and flaking skin cells
and stimulates the production of fresh young skin cells
and collagen. At Marino's Clinical Division, we
use only the highest quality microdermabrasion equipment available
and utilize perfected techniques. Our technicians are highly
trained, experienced and competent specialists in microdermabrasion.
| A precision hand piece is used to
direct a stream of very fine crystals blown across the skin's
surface, breaking up the surface cells. Simultaneously, the
exfoliated skin cells and excess crystal powder are vacuumed
away. The gentle abrasive action of the crystals combines with
the suction to remove the dead outer layer of your skin while
bringing smoother, softer skin to the surface. The result will
leave you with soft, smooth, more youthful skin. |
|
 |
What is Microdermabrasion? |
 |
Microdermabrasion is the latest scientific method using
fine crystals to progressively break up the surface cells.
Most importantly, it is safe to use on all skin types and
colors. It is used for skin resurfacing and treating
a range of skin abnormalities. |

| SPIDER VEIN &
SKIN TAG REMOVAL |
 |
 |
Marino's Clinical Division now offers an inexpensive
way to quickly and easily remove vascular lesions such
as telangiectasia (distended capillaries), cherry angiomas,
spider veins and skin tags found on the face and body. Marino's
Clinical Division has produced excellent results without pain,
bruising, or high treatment costs that other electronic devices
offer. |
Marino's Clinical Division has a better way to remove telangiectasia.
Our equipment uses very low levels of radio frequency (RF) and DC
currents simultaneously to electrocoagulate the vessel without desiccating
surrounding tissue. Low treatment energy does not adversely affect
the dermis to cause scarring or any other major reaction.
Our spider vein and skin tag removal
equipment offers a phoresis mode to:
Calm
the skin and reduce swelling.
Increase penetration
of "ampule" and other skin care products.
Facilitate disencrustation
treatments.
 |
What are spider
veins and skin tags? |
 |
| Spider veins are small-enlarged
superficial blood- vessels that appear red, purple or
blue thread like lines just under the skin. They
commonly occur in the legs, but frequently occur on the
face or elsewhere, and they occur most often in women.
Skin tags are mostly soft, small flesh-colored, usually
multiple and occurring mainly on the neck, armpits and
groin. |
|
|
 |
How long does
the treatment take? |
 |
Most blemishes are removed in seconds. Depending on the
number of capillaries, most conditions can be successfully
and permanently treated in 1 to 3, 10-15 minute sessions. |
 |
Does it hurt? |
 |
Some experience a "pinprick" sensation or the
snap of a small rubber band that can be mildly uncomfortable.
However, when a topical anesthetic cream is applied to the
area, most of the discomfort is taken away. |
 |
How is the procedure
done? |
 |
The surface of the skin is cleansed and prepped. A fine
tipped sterile probe is placed on the surface blemish. Low
level RF and DC currents are passed through the probe to the
vessel. The blood in the tiny vessel is clotted or coagulated
and stops flowing. Your body will naturally absorb the vessels
into the surrounding tissue. Typically, within three to four
weeks, it disappears. |

AGE & SUN SPOT REMOVAL
Sun spots (age spots), also known
as lentigines, are harmless, flat, brown discolorations of
the skin which usually occur on the back of the hands, neck
and face of people older than 40 years of age. These spots
more than anything else, give away a person's age. Sunspots
are caused by the skin being exposed to the sun over many
years and are a sign of sun damage.
If you do not believe that these brown, ugly marks on the
back of your hands and face are caused by sunlight, look at
the skin on your inner thigh. You will see that the skin of
the inner thigh is completely absent of age spots.
|
 |
Before
& After |
|
| Whether we call them age spots, sun spots, or
liver spots, they aren't freckles. Age spots are the result
of excess pigment deposited in the skin during years of sun
exposure. If you absorbed a lot of direct sun over the years,
you built up what are technically known as lentingines. None
of us likes to look older, so we want spot remover. |
 |
How Common
Are Age Spots? |
 |
Age spots occur more frequently in older people.
People with a history of frequent sun exposure, such
as fishermen, construction workers, and farmers, have
a higher incidence of age spots than the general population.
Fair-skinned people are more likely to experience age
spots. |
|
 |
Before
& After |
|
 |
What causes
age spots? |
 |
Like many other forms of skin pigmentation, age spots result
from sun exposure. With long-term exposure to sunlight, the
skin's uppermost layer (the epidermis) thickens. Additionally,
the skin's pigment-producing cells (melanocytes) increase
production of the body's natural pigment, melanin. Melanin
is a naturally protective substance that absorbs the sun's
harmful ultraviolet rays, and prevents them from penetrating
deeper into the skin.
 |
Before
& After |
|
Sun exposure has a cumulative effect. Aging
and long-term sun exposure causes the skin to become more
vulnerable to sunlight. A modest amount of sun exposure
in later years can result in age spots. As time goes by,
the excessive melanin produced in response to sun exposure
collects in the flat, brown spots we call age spots. |
Age is the indirect precipitating factor that causes age
spots; exposure to sunlight over many years results in these
areas of pigmentation. However, sunlight exposure in later
years may worsen age spots that are already present.
|
 |
What measures
should be taken to treat age/sun spots? |
 |
Because many dangerous skin problems can resemble harmless
age spots, it's important to have a doctor examine suspicious
areas of pigmentation. This is the primary consideration when
dealing with age spots. Treatment is usually unnecessary unless
you are bothered by the appearance of the skin. |
 |
How Do You Removal
Age & Sun Spots? |
 |
Marino’s Clinical Division removes stubborn age spots
by freezing and destroying abnormal skin cells. Our certified
technicians can freeze the spots, which will usually peel
off in seven to fourteen days. There may be a slight stinging
or coldness at the time of treatment.
The technique has been in use since the turn of the century
and is extremely safe. Freezing is used for a variety of skin
disorders, including age & sun spots, acne scars, fine
lines, wrinkles and warts. The treatment works by drying the
abnormal skin cells to the point that they die. New, healthier
cells replace the old abnormal cells. Freezing is the quickest
and easiest way to remove age/sun spots. |
 |
What Happens
After Treatment? |
 |
Within an hour or two, the area shows color changes due
to controlled destruction. The part may become dark or red
and swollen. At times, a small blister may form and it should
be left intact in order to prevent infection. A dry crust
then forms that falls off by itself. The treated area takes
1 to 3 weeks to heal. Some clients experience pain at the
site following the treatment. This can usually be eased with
acetaminophen (Tylenol). Multiple sessions may be required
to achieve the desired result. Side effects are usually minor
and short-lived, but may include slight swelling, redness,
mild stinging and slight blistering. For certain types of
growths, such as some forms of warts, repeat treatments over
several weeks are necessary to prevent the growth's return. |
 |
What Are the
Advantages? |
 |
It's: Quick, Painless, Affordable, Removes only
the abnormal surface tissue.
|
 |
How can age/sun
spots be prevented? |
 |
Protection from sun damage is the best prevention for age
spots. The only way to prevent age spots is to use lots of
sunscreen before the age of forty, avoid the sun, and wear
protective clothing. This is especially important for fair-skinned
people.
Exercising good judgment when it comes to the amount of sun
you get is the best way to avoid age spots down the road.
You can also minimize the appearance of age spots by doing
the following:
Wear a hat or long sleeves on sunny days to reduce
the area of skin exposed to sunlight.
You are still exposed to ultraviolet rays on cloudy
or overcast days. If you must be out in the sun regularly
for long periods, wear sun block with maximum sun
protection factor (SPF 25-30), whether it's sunny
or cloudy.
These measures will also help
prevent the formation of skin cancer and wrinkles!
